Andrew Costello is a Managing Director with Accenture Strategy who guides companies through the complexities of business and technology convergence within the Communications, Media, and Technology ecosystem. His clients include service providers, product manufacturers, retailers, technology platforms, investors and government entities where he plans, develops, and launches differentiated wireless service offerings and capabilities using 5G and IOT technologies. Though this work, Andrew has defined use cases that unlock compelling service growth, new business models, and revenue streams by incorporating heterogeneous networks with 5G, small cells, edge compute, and Wi-Fi/cellular convergence.
Andrew has deep expertise in the connected consumer electronics space where he built products and services from cradle-to-grave. In this process, Andrew developed new tools and methodologies for portfolio planning, product management, business and technical requirements development, test planning and certification, and supply chain. These capabilities have accelerated time-to-market, reduced development costs, and improved operational efficiencies, managing the collision course between the future of connectivity within and outside the home (e.g. home automation, autonomous vehicles, smart cities) and unlocking new connected user paradigms (e.g. extended reality, predictive maintenance, adaptive automation).
Prior to joining Accenture, Andrew helped lead a converged communications start-up to a successful exit. His perspectives are regularly featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and Bloomberg and he holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
