Dr. Hasan is a 5G Platform leader at GE Research. Currently, he is leading 5G strategies and roadmaps for GE businesses including Aviation, Healthcare, Power, and Renewables to develop or enhance GE’s products, services, and solutions using 5G and next-G wireless technologies. Dr. Hasan is heavily engaged with multiple government agencies to shape and participate into government funded R&D programs. He collaborates with world renowned experts, large and small businesses, research labs, and universities frequently. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and MBA degree from University at Albany. He has more than 15 years of experience in generating new ideas and leading multidisciplinary projects which involve sensors, IoTs, wireless communication, data collection/analysis, and edge/cloud infrastructure. Dr. Hasan has published over 65 research articles including 3 book chapters and 20 patents in the wireless communication area. He contributes frequently to conferences, presentations, and thought-leadership discussions & positions.
